Daily routine flexibly responds to the current needs of children, extraordinary events, weather, etc.

School educational plan

Our school lead the children to learn as much as possible, all important issues needed in our everyday lives. We teach them how to be independent, how to communicate well and express their own opinion, how to communicate with a person with a different opinion. The children are involved in everyday school life, they experience various human jobs in practice, using all the senses, to remember them well. They are also involved in creating the rules. We emphasize natural relationships between the teachers and children to feel secure and enjoyable.

The school programme is divided into seven areas mentioned above. A piece of each is included in everyday activities.

The early learning goals

Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Self-confidence, self-awarness – the children   are confident to try new activities, to speak with the others and express   their own opinion, come up with their own ideas, participate in group   discussion
  • Asking for help when needed
  • Managing feelings – the children are able to   recognize how they or the others express their feelings, they are able to   decode the body language
  • Managing behaviour – the children get   acquainted with the basic behaviour rules in a social group, they understand   well their consequences, they understand some behaviour as being   unacceptable, they are able to adjust their own behaviour to various   situations
  • Positive relationships – the children learn how   to play cooperatively, how to take turns with others
  • Learning how to organise activities
  • Understanding the rules of competition –   winning or losing
  • Internationality – respecting the others,   various cultures and traditions
  • Getting familiar with the tradition and life   style of the country they currently live in
Communication and language
  • Understanding – the children learn to follow instructions, actions
  • Ability to answer the questions
  • Speaking – the children are able to express themselves effectively, they   use past, present and future forms to talk about events, family, friends and   their lives in general. They are able to respond appropriately
  • Listening and attention – the children learn how to listen attentively,   they learn basic rules of discussion
  • Body language and mimics – they learn how to express themselves in other   than oral way, they are able to use drama or art means of cummunication to   express themselves
  • Multiligualism – the children are educated in English while their mother   tongue is supported during their presentations in Family clubs or Mother   tongue lessons
  • Jolly Phonics – the children at Reception learn through the synthetic   phonics programme designed to teach children to write and read. Children learn the 42 letter sounds of the English language in   multisensory way which makes them sure to recognize each sound and letter   shape or pattern. Children are   taught how to form each letter in the correct way.They are then taken   through the stages of blending and segmenting words to develop reading and   writing skills
  • Narration and   explanations – children develop their own ability to narrate and explain   something by connecting ideas or events

  • Good control and coordination in large and small movements

  • Children are familiar with the importance for good health

  • Ability to manage their own elementary hygiene and personal needs
  • Dressing independently
Literacy
  • Writing – the children use their phonic knowledge to write simple words   matching the spoken sounds. Writing in the air, sand, shaving foam and other   intersting, funny ways to motivate children to play with the sounds
  • EYSF Diaries – each child keeps its own Kindergarten diary with the   evidence of its progress, expressing through simple sentences or words
  • Tricky words – getting familiar with some common words irregular   spellings
  • Words and simple sentences – the ability to write down simple ones
  • Reading – when being Jolly Phonics aware the children are able to read   short words and sentences
  • Assissted reading programme – individual reading time with an adult
  • Storytelling – listening attentively and being able to perform what has   been read through drama ways
  • Expressing themselves about what they read
  • International stories – in cooperation with the families the children get   acquianted with some national stories and tales
Mathematics
  • Numbers around us – through EYFS the children learn counting in various   games and activities so they finally count reliably from 1 – 20
  • Number order – the children are able to place the numbers in order, count   forward or backwards, say which number is one more or less than given number
  • Quantities – using quantities, adding or subtracting two one-digit   numbers in everyday life situation, solving simple problems, including   doubling, halving and sharing
  • Shape, space and measure – talking and recognizing size, weight,   capacity, position, distance, time and money
  • Knowing 2D and 3D shapes in everyday life
  • Patterns – the children recognize, describe and create patterns
Understanding the world
  • Using all senses to discover the world
  • People and other communities – family, other people, similarities and   differences between people and their behaviour, various nationalities and   their traditions
  • Environment – ecological awareness, making our habitat good for life,   interactions between organisms and their environment
  • Animate and inanimate nature – learning about the world around us,   animals, plants, rocks and soils, materials and their use
  • Observations and fair tests, explanations following
  • Technology – exploring the range of technology used in familiar places
Arts and design, construction
  • Exploring and using media and materials
  • Music – sound and rhythm, singing song, dancing, exploring simple musical   instruments, using Orff´s instruments
  • Visual arts – using variety of materials, tools and techniques,   experimenting with colour, texture, form, design and function. Easy crafts to   make objects. Using materials and media in original ways, thinking about uses   and purposes
  • Drama – being able to perform in   original ways using means of drama techniques, role-play and stories
